The villa had everything we needed in the kitchen, plus a billiard table, pool, hot water, and a bathtub. Everything else about the place was amazing. But on our last day, just before checkout, the water pump broke and we couldn’t use any water. I wanted to shower before leaving and couldn’t. I told the manager, who apologized and sent a mechanic, but we had to check out, so it was a really annoying end to the stay.

Everyone enjoyed our stay at Maja Batubelig Villa. The place was really nice, and it was cleaned and maintained every day. The service was excellent too.

The rooms are spacious, and the location between Canggu and Seminyak is convenient, but the villa was so uncomfortable to use that those positives didn’t help. We were a group of seven, and all of us were shocked by how highly it’s rated here and on Booking. Cleanliness was a serious problem throughout. The towels were sticky and stained, the house felt extremely dirty, and neither the showers nor the pool seemed properly maintained. We didn’t feel comfortable using the towels or the pool. We also got no real care during our stay. Nobody came to clean or checked whether we needed anything. The only person we spoke with came across more like the owner than someone there to help guests.
