The pool was amazing, the rooms were comfortable, and the beautiful Villa Boya is within walking distance of lots of places. We had a wonderful stay and were so grateful to the staff. One friend left behind a bunch of clothes and more than $400 in cash, and everything was returned just in time before we left.

All six bedrooms are nicely decorated, and the main pool is massive. Two of the rooms have their own pools as well. The service is top-notch, making this one of the best villas in Bali. I can’t recommend it enough.

Several parts of the stay were disappointing. An intruder got in because security wasn’t effective, and the living room was so hot that we couldn’t use it. Cleanliness was an issue too, including gecko droppings that hadn’t been dealt with. There wasn’t enough workspace, the road leading in was in poor condition, and staff didn’t help with luggage or tell us promptly about an item we’d forgotten. I also found reviews mentioning thefts concerning, especially since CCTV footage wasn’t available.

Villa Boya felt like a distinctive, secluded retreat, blending modern comforts with Balinese aesthetics and its natural surroundings. I paid Rp15,585,000 for my stay. Its architecture and lush setting give it a character of its own, while the outdoor spaces make it easy to enjoy the tropical surroundings and Bali’s natural views. The communal areas and private pool offer a nice balance between shared time and privacy. Service was attentive and personalized, helping make the stay comfortable. I also enjoyed the private chef service, with meals shaped around individual preferences and local Balinese flavors. I found Villa Boya a charming place to stay and look forward to returning.
