Pretty good.

The internet was incredibly fast, the grass felt soft under bare feet, and the pool water was surprisingly warm, perfect for swimming. It’s clean overall, and the room gets really cool with the air conditioning on. The daily cleaner even washed the dishes, which was handy, and the beach is within walking distance. It’s not easy to find a pool villa with a private pool for a million rupiah a day, so it’s good value, but there’s definitely a reason for the low price. The living room is open, so the mosquitoes were awful day and night. I couldn’t do anything in there. There were also tons of ants. Open a snack and within minutes it would be covered in them. You have to run the bathroom water before using it too, because it smells like sewage for about a minute. There are paintings in the room that I think everyone will like. The picture of four women in the small room is especially scary, like something from a horror movie, and there’s a deep-sea fish painting in the large room. There are no TV channels, but there’s an Apple TV with a connected Netflix account. If you’re not used to the controls, it can be a bit overwhelming. Even changing the Chinese subtitles takes a while. GoFood and GoCar are about three times more expensive than in other areas. That’s true of Seminyak as a whole.

Good value for the money.
