Villa Deva

The rooms are nice and big, and the bathrooms are lush. The villa captures the essence of Bali in a beautiful way, but it was Umi and the team who really made it feel like a home away from home. They had lovely energy, were brilliant, and I’d return in a heartbeat. The people managing the other villas acted friendly, then complained to our villa manager when we asked them a question. Definitely choose Villa Deva if you stay in this complex.

We stayed here with family in September. It’s right by the beach and close to all the clubs. The pool was great, the staff were so kind and friendly, and I loved the aesthetic, super Instagram friendly. Very clean, and I’d definitely stay again.

For the last two nights of our holiday, nine of us stayed at this villa. We expected the beautiful white luxury place shown in the photos, but found stained, dirty towels, scuffed lounge cushions, a mosquito infestation, and rubbish hidden behind the kitchen and staircase. When we asked about extra towels, we were told to take them from our bathroom. That left us with just one towel each for the pool and shower, and all of them were dirty. A couple of us returned after breakfast out to find that a mosquito bomb had been set off without any warning. We were choking for air and had to leave, so much for relaxing by the pool. Staff arrived very late in the mornings, the wifi “wasn’t working,” and only a couple of channels were available on the TVs. We were never offered compensation, and staff were almost impossible to reach. Very disappointing, nothing like the photos. I wish we’d stayed at Villa Bibi the whole time. THAT was incredible!

We’ve just got back to Australia, and we’ll definitely stay again. The villa has very large bedrooms, and every bathroom seemed even more amazing than the last. We stayed over New Year’s, and watching the fireworks from the rooftop all night was amazing. The staff all went above and beyond. We had two children, so the pool fence came in very handy. Yuni is amazing. My kids were happy to stay with her and say goodbye without me there. On New Year’s Eve, Yuni happily watched them for a couple of hours. My four-year-old son never stays with anyone, but he was happy when we left and didn’t even notice we’d gone. The kids even had some cooking lessons. The only small downside was that the villa is a little way out of Seminyak. Still, the beach is close, with beach bars, lots of cafes, and an amazing massage place within a short walk. The staff more than make up for that minor downside, they made our holiday. Thank you very much!
