Taman Nauli Bed & Breakfast

I spent a full month at Taman Nauli and honestly didn’t want to leave. The peaceful feel and positive energy from the place and the people working there were incomparable. The bed was super comfortable, my bathroom looked out onto a pandan jungle and smelled of it, and breakfast was my favorite part of every day. The staff were always helpful. The property is right beside a crazy busy road, and the room cleaning could have been more thorough. Sheets could have been changed more regularly, toilet paper wasn’t always available, and the floors, especially the carpet, needed better cleaning. Even with those issues, I absolutely enjoyed my time there. Thank you, Taman Nauli Family ♥︎

The view from our room was lovely, and the rooms themselves were nice, but the pillows were much too big and hard. Parts of the wood on our balcony were loose and felt dangerous. Traffic noise also carried into the room. The pool was very average, with hardly any seating around it, and breakfast was average too. We booked for two adults and one child, but at check-in we were charged an extra $70 for another bed for two nights. That was annoying, and if we’d known, I would’ve chosen another hotel. The staff didn’t speak much English, so communicating was difficult. I also asked for a massage, but there wasn’t anyone at the hotel to give one. It could work if you’re on a budget, but we probably won’t come back.

When we come to Canggu, my partner and I love staying at Taman Nauli. It feels like home, with wonderful staff, comfortable clean rooms, and beautiful gardens. Our favorite part, though, is the dogs. They’re so friendly and remind us of our dogs back home. We’re going to miss Winnie and Manu 🐶. Couldn’t recommend the place more, especially if you’re planning to train at Soma, which is just a two-minute walk away.

The room was spacious and the hotel is nice, but the location didn’t work for me. The beach is too far to walk to, and the main road noise could be heard from every room, even at night. Some of the staff also didn’t speak enough English. I had booked three nights but left after one because of the location and road noise. The staff weren’t cooperative about canceling the remaining nights. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
