Alam Caldera Camp & Resto

The scenery is so magical I could spend ages just looking at it. The place itself is really nice architecturally, the food was good, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back. The only downside was the flies in the morning, though that's understandable.

We loved the restaurant's setup and the location, and we'd like to come back someday. The service needs work, though. We arrived with a group and sat outside with a child. I asked twice for tissues and pizza sauce, but neither arrived. Then I saw a staff member walk past us into another indoor area without checking on us. In the rain it was hard to get around, and I ended up going inside to ask directly, completely wet. Staff should look around and prioritize customers who need help.

The view, lovely restaurant, grassy area, and general atmosphere really lifted our mood. We absolutely loved it here. The only drawback is that the bathroom isn't inside the glamour tent 🤭.

The food was okay, and the bacon fried rice came in a generous portion. You need to eat quickly because the cold weather makes food go cold fast. My pizza was cold after about 10 minutes. There seemed to be too few staff, and online replies were slow. I was staying at the alam caldera and asked to order a dish, but they only replied hours later. On Instagram, I even got an answer the next day, after I had checked out. Service could definitely improve. One cashier also wasn't sure whether a menu item was available. There were lots of flies, which is understandable in Kintamani during fly season.
