I've stayed here twice, and neither visit was great. In December, I booked a cabin room that was amazing and clean, but the toilet was a problem. The hot water stopped when I got in the shower, then the water stopped altogether. I hadn't washed my hair yet, so I asked my partner to rinse it at the sink in the cold Kintamani weather. I liked the view, so I gave the place another try in April 2025, thinking maybe there'd been an issue before. This time I booked a tent and knew the toilet was outside. But that toilet was very dirty and had no hot water either. I didn't even want to wash there and left the next day without taking a shower. On both stays, nobody was waiting at the front office. We waited about 15 minutes to check out on the first visit. The second time, we couldn't get into our room for around 20 minutes while we waited for the guy to show up. The place itself is great, no doubt, and the view is lovely. The room was clean, but the bathroom and service need to be better.

The VIP room was worth the month-long wait for availability. The view and the whole place were beyond what I expected, and the staff were so friendly that chatting with them felt like catching up with friends. One even helped me buy soap. They provide mineral water, tea, and coffee, and having a canoe made the stay extra memorable. A couple of small things could be better: the plastic window could use a clean so it’s less blurry, and clearer information about whether soap is provided would help. Still, this is the best place I can think of, and I’ll definitely come back 🥳

I decided not to stay. There were so many flies, and the room felt too uncomfortable. The room looked dirty, with spots on the ceiling, and the toilet was in very bad condition. I’d booked two rooms, but when I arrived at 2:30 pm, staff were still cleaning one of them, even though check-in was at 2 and I was the only guest there. The place is far from the main road, and the access road is only wide enough for one car. It ruined my special day.

The staff were awesome and let us check in very early. We picked a cabin because it has its own bathroom and a small private pool. It’s a beautiful place to stay, though the cabin could use a little touch-up.

The tents get extremely hot in the sun, almost unbearable if you’re inside, though the room was comfortable and cool at night. The camping ground is in a great spot right beside the lake, and the road access and shower rooms could both be improved. The showers could use more hot water.
