This family-run homestay has simple huts with everything you need, plus a shared restaurant space with comfortable seats and a hammock for relaxing. Meals are included and home-cooked, with fresh fish, vegetables, and chicken every day. The family were so helpful. They arranged a birthday cake for my wife, and we were lucky enough to be invited to their Christmas celebration in a nearby village on Mansuar Island. Thank you Ibu Rima, Sintike, Peter, Sofia.

We spent nine nights at Rima Homestay and loved it. The rooms are on land and come with a bed and mosquito net, a table, a fan, and a small bathroom with toilet and shower. They collect the water you use so it can be reused for flushing. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, and the home-cooked food from Rima, Sintike, and Mona was wonderful. If you’re going diving or on a day trip, you can request a food box ahead of time. There’s water, tea, and coffee in the common area during the day. They can arrange boat trips to places like Piaynemo, Gam Island, Cape Kri, and Sawandarek, and can also pick you up in Waisai. The home reef is beautiful for snorkeling, with plenty of fish and corals and sometimes baby blacktip sharks. Payment can be in cash or by Wise app or PayPal transfer. Alvian and Ricky are very friendly staff and helped us with everything.

We were anchored out front for a week instead of staying here, but came ashore for dinner almost every day. The food was an incredibly generous spread for a very good price, and the sunset views were lovely. She also did our laundry at a good price. The beach and property were kept extremely clean.

I spent almost four weeks here and really enjoyed the place and the company. The bungalows had only been built 2-3 months earlier, and everything felt new, comfortable, and well insulated. They were the best rooms I’d had in five months in Raja Ampat. Island life can mean rats in other bungalows, but I didn’t have that issue here. Having a shower and toilet inside the room was pure bliss. The water pressure was great, and although Kri’s water is mixed with saltwater, this shower left me feeling fresh and clean, not salty like at some other homestays. The restaurant over the water is cozy, with a lovely place to relax in the daytime, watch the sunset, or enjoy the view. The food was good, and leftover breakfast was put out as snacks for later, which felt pretty unique in Raja Ampat. They organized snorkeling and fishing trips very well. The reef right in front, and the rest of this side of Kri, were amazing. It’s a good spot for visiting both sides of the island, rather than being right at the far end. I was diving next door at Yenkoranu, and thought it was nice to spread the business around instead of everyone staying in one place. Rima Homestay was much quieter, which suited me perfectly. They really cared and did their best to meet requests and make guests happy. I had a great time.

The family made us feel very welcome, and the bungalows were comfortable, with their own toilet and bathroom. It’s a peaceful place in a great spot facing the sunset. Yenkoranu dive center is just a minute away, and has amazing staff. I recommend it.
