Relax Bali Resort, Diving & SPA

I only looked around Relax Bali Resort in Kubu while I was traveling through Bali, since I didn’t stay overnight. It felt peaceful and in tune with nature, with a really welcoming atmosphere. The resort is beautiful and seems ideal for a relaxing holiday. I was impressed, and I’m sure I’ll stay there on my next Bali trip.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with tasty food, attentive service, and vegetarian choices such as tofu satay. They were also happy to accommodate special requests. Breakfast came with the stay and had a good range of buffet and à la carte options. We spent three nights at the Relax, Bali, Dive & Spa Resort in Kubu. Villa Sunny was gorgeous, with its own garden and pool and direct access to the sea. It was spotless, and the daily cleaning was thorough even during our short visit. We liked the open bathroom. A few geckos came by now and then, which is normal in Southeast Asia and added to the charm, and hearing Tokki at night was a lovely natural touch. There was plenty to do, including diving and snorkeling, with equipment available. For kids, there’s a small playground with a trampoline, plus a football field, volleyball, foosball, and a pool table. The facilities are arranged in a way that still feels calm and spacious. From arrival, the manager and crew were welcoming, helpful, and friendly. They gave us useful tips without hovering. It’s a beautiful, serene resort that’s very well run. We had an unforgettable stay and would be back in a heartbeat, five stars.

We didn’t try the diving, but snorkeling right in front of the hotel was already really nice. The restaurant was the best value for money of the three hotels we’ve stayed at so far in Bali. You can tell the food is homemade, and we recommend the seafood, milkshakes, and desserts. The manager and all the staff were kind and gave us good recommendations. My reservation was cancelled two months after I booked, because of a minor renovation, even though my stay wasn’t due for another three months. Availability was still showing on the day my stay was supposed to end, which felt like a suspicious coincidence. I booked at a sale price, so I suspect they cancelled my reservation to take a higher-paying booking.
