Amantis Hotel Kudus

There aren’t many 3-star hotels in Demak, so I chose Amantis for its facilities and breakfast. Many foreign workers from China stay here.

Breakfast was good, but I had to insist on getting fresh fruit at 8:15 after the chef said they wouldn’t put out any more that day. The ground-floor room was noisy because of the hotel lobby, where loud music started at 7 in the morning. I asked them to turn it off; it stopped for 10 minutes, then came back on. The sheets had stains and holes, and the replacements also felt used, with old marks that may not have come out in a cold wash. The price felt high for this experience. I’ve stayed in much better places in Indonesia for less.

For a two-star hotel, it was much better than I expected. The staff were kind and the service was good. Breakfast was the highlight for me: really tasty, with enough variety even if the selection isn't huge. Keep it up!

The tap water looked dirty, so I didn't feel it was hygienic enough for brushing my teeth. Shower pressure was very low too. The bed, though, was nice for sleeping. I like a firm mattress.
