Sahid T-More Kupang

The room wasn't great. There was no bath mat, the hot water was only warm, and we could hear people walking around upstairs. They do offer a free airport shuttle, but the timing needs work. The airport is only 5-10 minutes away, yet the first shuttle was the only option for us, even though our flight was still three hours off. The airport wasn't even open when we got there. We probably wouldn't stay again, even for one night.

The staff at the desk, security, and behind the wheel were all helpful, and the airport transfer was free every two hours, if I remember right. I got my room even though my flight arrived two hours ahead of schedule, and didn't have to wait around. After past bad experiences with short stays and transit hotels in Kupang, Sahid T-More Hotel has earned back my trust. My room was comfortable, with fresh air from the air conditioner and a magnificent view over Kupang City. Room service was quick, and I loved the tom yum packed with seafood. Water refills and sanitation were good too. This is going on my list for my next Kupang layover.

The location worked for an overnight stop, and the receptionist was nice and helpful. The rest of the hotel was a mess. It was so run down it felt like a joke. The restaurant wasn't readily available, so I didn't eat there. The room reeked of mould, and there was so much of it that we didn't shower. Water dripped on you from the ceiling when you sat on the toilet. The photos must be from when it first opened. Wouldn't recommend it.

Our first stay here, in January 2023, was good, from service through to the room. On 24 November we came back for one night as a family and paid 550k for a room with breakfast for two. I can't remember the room type, but it was room 214 on the second floor. There were lots of mosquitoes in the evening, and the water heater didn't work. Two stars for the room rate. The bubur ayam we ordered for the baby was really tasty.
