Beach Balcony Ocean View Villa

Getting to the property was difficult, and the place felt so neglected that we didn’t want to stay. We booked several nights, but there was no check-in when we arrived, and the room needed cleaning. It was very dirty, the bathroom was worse, the toilet was faulty, and an old, used, dirty towel was hanging there. The garbage hadn’t been taken out. We left after one night. Despite repeated attempts to sort it out, nobody met with us and we got no refund.

The location right by the sea was lovely, with a beautiful sunrise, and the workers were kind. But after two nights, I didn’t feel the place was worth what we paid, especially compared with the photos. Several things were dirty or not working properly. The toilets didn’t work, and the whole bathroom smelled of dirty water. They tried to fix them, but it still wasn’t working very well. When we first arrived, geckos had left droppings on our bedsheets.

The pool and garden were lovely, the grounds were well kept, and we really liked the view. The staff were good, though they also tried to arrange a very expensive driver. There were too many little problems for us to love the place. The room stayed dark even with the curtains open, and the bathroom was outside the room, despite sharing a wall, so you had to go out and back in. The shower barely dripped, even though we knew it would be cold, and I couldn’t wash my hair. I used the sink to get somewhat clean. The toilet smelled bad each time it was flushed. We were glad we only booked three nights. The road in was in terrible shape, so our drivers had to go very slowly. It had no lighting, and we used our phones to see. Walking back from the center at night, we ran into barking dogs. They turned out to be friendly, but at first we didn’t know that. Breakfast was minimal, especially compared with cheaper places we’d stayed in Bali and Lombok.

Breakfast was good, and the location has a lovely sea view. The rooms could have been a 5/5, but they need serious cleaning and repairs. The outdoor bathroom was in bad shape: only very hot water came from the shower, the toilet seat didn’t work properly, the pipes smelled awful, there was a hole in the roof, and fallen leaves covered the shower floor.
