Horison Kuta Bali

The one good thing was how close the hotel is to the airport. The rest of my stay at Horison Kuta Bali was a letdown for this price, especially the cleanliness and service. My pillows were dirty and smelled bad, the bathroom mat was dirty, there was a cockroach in the room, and the AC didn't work properly. At my late night check-in, staff were asleep and didn't seem keen to help. Requests for an extra bed, blanket, or help storing items weren't handled well, and empty soap and shampoo took ages to refill. Staff communication was poor too, which caused delays. Not worth the price.

We booked on the spur of the moment after a disaster at the neighbouring hotel, and the quick booking process and friendly, helpful receptionist were a relief. But on our late night arrival, the bed was filthy. I don't think housekeeping had changed the sheets, pillow covers, or duvet after the previous guests. Breakfast was almost nothing, and I don't think we'll return.

The shower was uncomfortable for me, almost like jet mode, and getting the temperature right was tricky because it changed so easily. The rest of the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The room felt cozy, quiet and comfy, warm yet cool, with lots of TV channels. Depending on the room, you might get Netflix and YouTube. The view is amazing from every angle, ngl, and the food was delicious, especially the salad, bubur ayam and nasi goreng. I'd rate it 8.7/10 and recommend staying here.

The room was comfortable and neat, and the refrigerator stayed cold. But room 503 was the worst. The keycard often stopped working, and I had to get it updated at reception almost every day. Sometimes the door sensor was faulty too. Worst of all, there was no hot water for a shower, and even during my long stay nobody had the courtesy to move me to a room that had it. They call this a hotel, but the service felt like a guest house. The Horison service culture had no warmth during my stay, especially with no hot water.
