OYO 734 Tuban Torres Accomodation

Torres Accommodation in Bali was below average for me. The modest rooms didn't meet expectations and lacked comfort and modern amenities. There were no facilities, either, so it won't suit travelers wanting convenience or extra services. Maybe suitable if you have minimal requirements and a tight budget.

The staff were lovely and friendly, and really tried to make my stay great. My room was cute and clean. It's also very cheap for the area and so close to the airport that you can walk. I gave it four stars because my room had no window, so it was very dark, and it smelled a little musty. It was okay for one night, and in total I'd recommend the hotel. 👍🏼

It's now called Turban Torres and is no longer part of the Oyo hotel group. The place was clean and basic, with a comfortable bed, a very cheap price, and reasonable proximity to the airport. The downside is the noise from the main road to the airport. Bring earplugs and you'll be fine.

The reception man was super helpful, even though my reservation wasn't in the OYO system when we checked together. Agoda showed it as fine and not cancelled. I arrived at 1am and was told there was no reservation, and the man offered the same room but couldn't match the Agoda price. After an hour struggling with the OYO system and getting no help at all from the call centre, I paid almost double. The staff member really did all he could. This is probably a bad review of OYO in general, not just this facility. This was my 3rd time in 2 months staying in an OYO, in Thailand, Philippines and now Indonesia, and it's really the very last time. OYO seems to be a brand for rundown, overpriced, messy hotels. In the ensuite room I couldn't open a window. The wardrobe was broken and dirty inside, the AC was noisy and smelled bad, there was no socket near the bed, and there was only one pillow for a double bed.
