Tri Putri Home Stay

We lasted one night, then my two friends and I changed hotels. The rooms looked sparse in the photos, but in person they were even grimmer: a damp smell, smears on the walls, and a mattress wrapped in plastic. Each twin bed had one small, ratty blanket and no sheet. Our toilet wouldn’t flush, and while we complained, we heard another guest say theirs didn’t work either. The staff said we could cancel and get our money back for the nights we weren’t staying. We went back several times to sort it out, but they kept delaying us and wasting our time. The refund never came. They just kept lying to our faces and in messages. I really don’t understand the good reviews.

The people here made the stay special. Owner Alya and the staff were lovely and kept trying to make things comfortable, and the pancakes were great. The rooms were clean and very good, with working AC, hot water, and closed windows and doors so no animals got in. The pool was lovely too. For the price, the value is unbeatable. We’ll definitely come back. :)

The room was alright for what we paid, but the bathroom was dirty. When we checked in, there was still hair from previous guests on the wall, as in the photo, and only a used bar of soap in the shower. I asked at reception twice for it to be cleaned and for soap, but they still didn’t seem to care. Communication was poor too. They acted as if they understood, then walked away without doing anything. If they didn’t understand me, they could at least have said so and let me use a translator. I don’t usually leave many bad reviews, but this homestay deserves one.

We booked through Booking, but the room they showed us on arrival wasn’t the one we’d reserved. The man checking us in blamed plumbing problems in our actual room and said he’d ask his boss what could be done. We waited, went to the pool, and he never came back. The room we were left in was dirty, with stained walls and dirty towels and sheets. Other rooms like the one we booked were occupied, and another staff member confirmed there was no plumbing issue. We asked to cancel, and that was approved. Right after an unfriendly goodbye, they started sending unfriendly WhatsApp messages. The staff weren’t welcoming, and I wouldn’t recommend this homestay.
