Mulia Home Stay

The only thing that gave us pause was the number of dogs around the streets and gardens. Some seemed quite aggressive, and one street dog had foam around its mouth. We had booked just three nights to explore Nusa Dua, but extended our stay because the owners were so nice and the room was great. It was clean, had everything we needed, and we felt very welcome. The owner brought us tea in the morning and bottles of water, which we really needed in Bali’s heat. The location works well if you have a scooter. We rented one each at a reasonable price from Sari Mulia, the owners’ family member’s business, and went from Uluwatu and Padang Padang all the way to Nusa Dua and Kuta. For food nearby, Warung Local Price was great, so there’s no need to cook if you don’t want to. We had a great few nights here and would definitely come back when we’re in the area.

We stayed for a week, Dec 21-28, for our year end vacation and honeymoon. The couple running the place were very helpful and patient, and breakfast was delicious, both the Western and Balinese options. I’m Indian and enjoyed both. The cottage was reasonably priced. You’ll need a bike to get around, since it’s usually too hot to walk, and the beaches are at least 2 KM away. Groceries are around 300 metres away.

The hosts are warm and accommodating, and I’d happily book here again. We spent a week in the suite with a kitchen. It’s a wonderful place to stay in Bali and one of our favourites. Pandawa beach, shops, and restaurants are all within driving distance. Highly recommended.

The owner was incredibly respectful and gave us full privacy. Honestly, an amazing host who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The place was really clean, with a nice garden. Definitely recommend it.
