The restaurant’s à la carte breakfast was delicious, generous, and good value, with coffee, tea, or juice included. There’s just the one restaurant. The pool was pleasant, with a smaller one for children. My room was cozy, and the hotel was very comfortable for a short visit or business trip, despite some new-hotel teething issues. Crowne Plaza LBJ had only just opened in Nov 2025 when I stayed. It’s right by the airport and offers a complimentary car transfer, which is handy for an early flight. If staying longer, I’d use the free shuttle to downtown rather than take a bike. The bathroom has no exhaust fan, and some mould was already growing in the shower grout, surprising in such a new building. Service was generally good, but staff seemed a little too keen to sign people up for membership and ask for hotel reviews to bring in more foot traffic. Our airport driver even suggested stopping somewhere else on the way, although we were rushing to catch a morning flight. It felt like either scripted lines or very thorough staff training. At reception, I was also asked to present my credit card to release the deposit held on it, which isn’t usual practice at other hotels.

I was concerned airport noise might be a problem because my room faced the runway, but it was minimal even during the day. The last flight out is around 8pm, so noise wasn’t an issue. The internet was fast, with strong reception in both the room and common areas, and the lobby has a shared table with outlets for working. The hotel was only a few months old and spotless. My room had modern minimalist furniture, lots of places to charge electronics, a large vanity and lighted makeup mirror, plus a big walk-in shower with both a rain shower and handheld wand. There’s a main pool and a shallow children’s pool on the lobby level, a nice way for families to cool off. The enormous restaurant serves a big buffet breakfast included in my rate, and you can eat outside too. Lunch and dinner include Western and Asian favourites. The lobby bar is good for a drink, a chat, or a small meeting. Most of all, the staff made the stay memorable. From pickup through the final goodbye, they made me feel like part of the family and were always ready to help. I can’t thank them enough.

The restaurant team and chef made such delicious, personalized meals that we didn’t want to eat anywhere else. Everyone we met, from reception to housekeeping, was genuinely warm and caring. Thoughtful little gestures and attention to detail made the stay feel special. The property is beautiful, with a bright, open-air lobby and spaces designed for relaxing. The team took care of everything, from airport pickup to arranging an unforgettable Komodo Island tour. We extended our stay several times because it was hard to leave. If you want luxury, comfort, and heartfelt service together, this place delivers. Wishing the whole team every success.

Everything was brand new, from the lobby and pool to the room, and the staff welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived. I picked Crowne Plaza because it’s away from the port and mosque. Downtown is just a 5-minute drive, and a one-way transfer costs 100k, reasonable given the car was brand new. We had a really pleasant stay. It would be even better with a kids club or another facility for children.
