Katamaran Hotel & Resort Komodo

One thing that bothered me a little was the first-floor swimming pool. It’s set up like a bar pool where everyone can bring food and drinks, and the water looked a bit dirty. I saw empty plastic bottles and crumbs floating in it. Maybe the staff need to keep a closer eye on the pool and remind guests to look after their things and put their rubbish away. We had a pleasant 5 days at Katamaran with my husband. We were lucky to visit Labuan Bajo in low season, when the hotels and tourist spots were less crowded. The staff looked after us perfectly from airport pickup through drop off. There are free scheduled activities like yoga, hiking, DIY classes and more, plus water sports for an additional cost: kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and water cycling. The prices still felt reasonable for a 5-star resort. We had dinner at both The Kliff Bistro and Layar Restaurant, and all the food was delicious. Breakfast was tasty too. I had the same soup for 5 days straight. It was good, but I’d have appreciated a little more variety in the live cooking. My stay at Katamaran Komodo was wonderful. Thanks for making our vacation memorable.

The staff were excellent, as they are throughout Indonesia, and the price made this incredible value. We went to the Kliff restaurant every night because the food was pretty good, and they accommodated allergies. They also packed a really good breakfast for our early day trips. Airport transfers were so easy, since we booked directly with the hotel in advance. The local music in the restaurants was a nice touch. The beach wasn’t the best, but the 3 pools were all we needed. It’s a newish hotel with stunning architecture and amazing views throughout, and the breakfast was excellent. This was one of the nicest and most comfortable places we stayed on our Indonesia trip.

The sunset over the bay became part of our daily routine, and waking up to the ocean views was my favorite part. At Katamaran Hotel & Resort Komodo in Labuan Bajo, the atmosphere felt relaxed but special from the moment we arrived. The rooms were comfortable, with big windows that made the sea feel close, and the pool areas were lovely for relaxing after a day out. Breakfast was fresh, with lots of variety. Staff were consistently warm and helpful, ready with tips or to arrange excursions. It was easy to organize tours to Komodo National Park and the other islands straight from the hotel, making it a good base for both adventures and downtime. I’m already looking forward to coming back. If you want beachside views, comfortable rooms, and good service, this is a great choice.

Complimentary kayaking and snorkeling kept everyone entertained. Breakfast had fresh Indonesian and Western options, and the restaurants served delicious food with fresh seafood and local flavors. Everything felt clean, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed for families, from the kids’ program to the peaceful spa atmosphere. For adventure, relaxation, or quality family time near Komodo National Park, Katamaran Hotel & Resort Komodo is the absolute best choice. We can’t wait to return.
