The staff were incredible, warm and attentive, and you could tell they really wanted us to enjoy our stay. Ayu and Grace looked after us most of the time, and Zaka welcomed us and later sang one evening, which we loved. The whole team was great. The island itself is lovely, with a house reef full of fish and a great sunset bar. It has a rustic feel, as you’d expect from island living, and that’s part of its charm. The restaurant is a relaxed place where you leave your shoes outside. Food costs a bit more than on the mainland since it has to be brought in, but there’s a nice mix of Indonesian and Western dishes, including BBQ and fish evenings. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Indonesia. We’d definitely recommend a few nights at Sudamala Seraya.

A Dugong pair turned up as a surprise, and swimming with more than a thousand Jack Fish was an incredible experience. Daily snorkeling and kayaking are a must. Our private bungalow sat right in front of a world class house reef. The trip felt wonderfully private and peaceful. The staff were attentive, and I loved how they customized the food to my requests, especially making it extra spicy. I also enjoyed the breakfast menu each day and the resort amenities. Definitely looking forward to another visit 🙏

The team made this stay special. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, and you can feel their dedication. Transfers and activities were organized smoothly, so the whole trip felt stress free. We spent five nights at Sudamala Resort Seraya and loved the beautiful villas, which fit naturally into the surroundings and had thoughtful details throughout. The water was crystal clear, the atmosphere peaceful, and it felt like we’d stepped away from everything. It’s a little paradise for unwinding after a more adventurous part of a trip. We’d return without hesitation. Thanks to the whole team for such an unforgettable stay.

On Christmas Eve, the restaurant put on a special dinner with traditional dances and a festive menu. The performances were lovely to watch, and the food was delicious. The island was so relaxing, with excellent food and beautiful coral underwater. What I’ll remember most, though, is how well the staff cared for me. I cut my finger badly on coral during a snorkeling trip, and Servy Untu immediately gave first aid and dressed the wound. He also helped change the bandage each day afterward. His kindness and professionalism made a real difference. From arrival to departure, it was an amazing experience. I’ll definitely come back.

Snorkeling right in front of the resort was the highlight. The water activities are all free, including snorkeling, paddling, and canoeing, with equipment provided. I went in twice and saw colorful reefs, lots of fish, starfish, baby sharks, lionfish, trumpet fish, and clownfish. Before sunset, you can unwind at the hilltop minibar with a drink and a light snack. At night, the full moon and stars were pure magic. The room was clean and tropical, with white and blue tones and lovely NTT-style ornaments. We booked a Private Beach Bungalow and were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a Panoramic Premium Bungalow. Amenities included an instant coffee machine and coffee, plus manual drip coffee with Manggarai coffee beans. I especially liked the balcony sofa and power outlets, a thoughtful setup if you want to work with that view. The meal was good, though dinner service could be faster, and prices may feel a little high for local tourists. The experience from airport pickup in Labuan Bajo, through the harbor transfer and boat ride, to the warm welcome was top notch. During the temporary Komodo National Park closure after the pinisi boat incident, we stayed January 3-5. On checkout day my child got sick, and the staff quickly arranged a speedboat back to Bajo, accompanied us to Siloam Hospital, and had the hotel driver take us to the airport afterward. They were caring and professional throughout. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I don’t understand why Google Maps lists this as a 3 star hotel, it deserves 5. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Labuan Bajo, especially families with kids who love water activities.
