Sunrise Hotel Labuan Bajo

The breakfast was a shame, just bread with nothing to go with it and really bad coffee. The room was so dirty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned for a month. We had to ask them to change the sheets because they were full of hair and who knows what else. They changed only the sheets, though, and left the pillowcase as it was. I get that they’re very busy 😹. I’ll stop there, the list is long enough. Put your money toward somewhere better.

The room was spacious and clean, with a small view of the islands and sea. Breakfast is toast and a cup of tea, which I thought was enough. For the very cheap price in a tourist area and the good location, this hotel is a great choice. Getting to reception means climbing quite a lot of stairs. Still manageable as long as you don’t have huge luggage.

The rooms are clean and reasonably priced, and the views are good, though I wished they were higher up. The TVs were switched on, but there was no remote in the rooms. We had better things to do than watch TV anyway.

We stayed three nights altogether, both before and after our Komodo islands trip, since this is an affordable option in L.Bajo. The location is convenient, a short walk to the main streets and just two minutes from the airport by Grab. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The receptionist who also does housekeeping was really nice. One of the guys was a bit useless, though. He didn’t speak any English, and even using a translator, communication was difficult. Breakfast is very basic. Some fruit or maybe butter for the bread would be a nice addition.
