Pondok Pisces Bungalows

The balcony is a lovely place to sit, with a dining table, sofa, and views. It also has a little kitchen with a fridge, gas cooktop, dishes, utensils, and a sink, and drinking water is provided. Breakfast is included, and they’ll clean the room daily if you ask. The partly open-air setup lets you hear the waves at night, though bugs could get in. There’s a mosquito canopy over the bed, and I didn’t have any trouble with them. The staff were helpful and friendly.

From the bedroom of my clean, well-equipped sea-view villa at Pondok Pisces, I could check the surf. It worked really well for a solo trip. Nengah, Ketut and Iluh were fantastic hosts, helping with any issues and offering advice or help with requests about local sights and facilities. I’ll definitely stay there again.

Nengah was extremely polite and helpful. I stayed in the single wooden garden bungalow, which is simple and basic, with an outdoor bathroom. It was fine, though a bit of TLC could make it five-star. The pricier apartments looked very pleasant.

The staff were very friendly, and the garden was beautiful for relaxing in. It was reasonably quiet, with a nice ocean breeze, though cooling is fan-only. The accommodation is reasonably priced, with quirky design and interiors. Choose an upper-floor room for ocean views. Cleanliness was fair. I wouldn’t bother with breakfast, since you can get much better value down the road, though not at the posh place.
