A good apartment.

I rented in Tower A for a year, from 2024 to October 2025. I chose the place for its strategic location, and the security staff are friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was good too. The gym smells of rubber, so I’d rather work out elsewhere, though people may feel differently. The pool is okay and you need access to get in. The big issue for me was electricity. My studio had one air conditioner, used only at night, a water heater, small fridge and three lights that I switched on as needed. I didn’t cook with electrical appliances, just charged my phone and laptop. Even so, the bill was at least 1 million rupiah a month and sometimes 1.4 million. I was told that was normal and blamed the AC. I switched off the water heater for a month and the bill still didn’t go below 1.2 million. During another month, we were away for seven days and turned everything off at the socket, yet the bill was still 1.2 million. They again said it was normal. At my house, the highest bill is 1 million a month with two AC units, two water heaters, two fridges, cooking, and all the indoor and outdoor lights on. It felt like I was paying for two units. If you’re renting for a month or more, ask to see the electricity history first so you don’t end up in the same situation. That’s all, and I hope people looking for a place are careful. Namaste. Parking cost 150k a month, which is normal, but the lot is too small. I often came home late to find it full, sometimes because residents took two spaces for one car. Once at midnight I couldn’t find a spot because a car that had done this several times was occupying two. Security said they’d warned the driver and wouldn’t let it happen again, but that didn’t help me park that night. Most parking attendants are friendly, but one never greets or speaks to me. If I’m not already in the lot, I have to wait or honk, and it can take a while. There are two elevators in Tower A and two serving Towers B and C. They’re slow. For much of my year, only one Tower A elevator worked, supposedly because the other was broken. Both have worked during the last four months, which is better. I hope they keep both running, and that problems get fixed quickly. Water flow was inconsistent too, sometimes strong and sometimes almost gone, which is annoying in the shower. The sink smells awful whenever it rains, even though I’m on the top floor. I’ve had to spray perfume each time, or I feel like I’ll vomit. Neighbors were a matter of luck: the units in front and to my left were fine, but the one on my right often played loud music until 3 or 4 a.m. I complained, but nothing changed. The unit above was quiet by day, then sounded like people moving big things and running around after 9 p.m. until midnight. I joked that it might not be human. The hallway noise carries too. I could clearly hear people walking or talking quietly, unlike at Mtown, where hallway footsteps weren’t audible. I found Mtown more comfortable, though the rooms are smaller. I chose this place for the larger unit and ended up regretting it.

I’ve been here for two years and, overall, it’s been a good experience. Still, two of the security guards have a rude, dismissive way of speaking to residents and dealing with them. They’ve both worked here a long time, while the guard I find nice is new. I don’t know why it’s like this. Management should check in with them or retrain them, because they don’t seem to be considerate of residents. I’m still living here, but this has been bothering me for a while.
