Maribaya Glamping Tent

The food was fresh and delicious every day, and the staff were friendly, polite, and gave top-tier service throughout our stay. The glamping venue for our Silat training camp was beautiful, peaceful, surrounded by nature, and set up well for both resting and training. After intense sessions, the hot baths and natural hot springs were a huge bonus. An amazing experience, and I'd highly recommend it for a retreat, group event, or anyone wanting to unwind somewhere serene and well maintained.

It's busy on weekends, then pretty quiet from Sunday afternoon through Wednesday. There's a family suite with an extra bed option for groups over four, and breakfast lets you choose Eastern or Western food. I recommend the Indonesian breakfast, with its big portion, fried food, and great fruit platter. The layout and decor around the glamping tents are well organized, with trees, flowers, grass, and other greenery. You can barbecue in the front yard, and there are small hot spring pools around the tents. There's also a pool in the lobby area, plus some free tickets to the natural hot spring resort across the way. A good place to explore if you want to relax among lots of greenery.

I stayed in the largest tent, which fits 10 to 11 people, for a team building event. The tent is showing its age, but the bed, furniture, toilet, and shower facilities inside were quite good. The bed felt humid, probably because of the damp conditions, and they should provide a dehumidifier. It has a big zipper instead of a main door, which made security feel questionable. Slippers are provided. The water flow and heater worked very well. During my visit there was heavy rain, and tent no 807 had lots of leaks. Thankfully none were over my bed, but that's still unacceptable. There are two nice small warm water pools where more than 10 people can relax together, though they don't have water jets like a jacuzzi. Breakfast was okay, about what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. Nice enough for a group event or family getaway.

Tickets to Maribaya Natural Hot Spring Resort are included, since this is part of the resort. We slept well to the sounds of the river and forest. It gets pretty cold in the evening, and the jacuzzi was pretty great.
