Segara Beach Inn

Such a warm welcome from Wayan and Wayan, and the place is right on the beach. Thanks so much, I can't wait to come back :)

The direct beach access is the one good thing, though the manager doesn't put out loungers or chairs. Everywhere else felt neglected and dirty. Arriving from the car park, the first thing you see is rubbish, grime, and building debris, and both rooms we stayed in were in bad shape. The first room, upstairs, smelled damp and moldy. The air conditioner's swing couldn't be adjusted, so I got a lot of condensation on my side of the bed and lay in the direct airflow. I ended up getting sick. In the room below, we found the previous guests' rubbish bins and toiletries left in the shower. There wasn't proper hot water either. Both rooms felt bare and uncared for, and the cupboards smelled musty enough that we didn't want to put or hang our clothes in them. Nobody came to clean during our six days. I swept the room myself and made the bed now and then. The place was a complete disaster and badly needs renovation. It all feels old and neglected, like they're relying on their "good" reviews.

This locally owned, family-run place was a lovely stay. I booked directly with them and everything went smoothly. The service, cleanliness, and location all get five stars from me. I didn't want to leave.

You can step straight out onto the beach here, and even have breakfast on the deck chairs. The rooms are cozy and clean, with AC and a hot shower, and the amenities are basic but enough. It's a very good price and the host is kind. I love falling asleep and waking up to the ocean, and come back whenever I'm in Lembongan.
