The staff helped arrange a snorkeling trip for $300,000 IDR per person, and it was great: we saw manta rays, turtles, and lots of fish. They also organized our transfer to the boat ferries when we left, though they said the departure would be at 9:30 and we didn’t leave until 10:10 for a 10:30 ferry. Island time, I guess! We loved being right on the beach and hearing the ocean at night. You can swim straight out from the front, and the villa gives access to the Shipwreck surf break, which worked well for us. The rooms are dated, but the bed and pillows were comfortable and the AC was great. Breakfast was included and had a decent selection, with lots of good local cafes nearby too. We didn’t try dinner, but saw them grilling fresh fish each night and it looked amazing. Great price for a beachfront stay, and I’d come back.

The three people working there were unpleasant, and it spoiled the atmosphere of an otherwise beautiful place. The restaurant service was awful. The waitress laughed when we asked a question and didn’t answer. We ordered fries for 25k and got a tiny plate with barely 15 fries. When we asked for more, they laughed in our faces again. There was no hospitality at all.

We had a great time here. The food was tasty and fairly priced, and the simple rooms had what we needed. It’s run by a welcoming Balinese family, and there’s plenty of room to relax with kids. We also had a lot of fun on the easy-to-arrange snorkeling trip right from the beach. Highly recommend.

The rooms are basic, but you’re right on the beach, which makes the location hard to beat. Nyoman and the team were fantastic, and the food at blue yogi was amazing. I’d highly recommend it for couples or solo travellers.
