The resident staff, especially Ibu Asray, were attentive and did what they could to keep us comfortable. That was the bright spot. The garden had become overgrown, the furniture was broken, there was no hot water, and the pool needed a proper clean. It’s a beautiful spot, and the resort used to be splendid, but it’s been allowed to deteriorate badly. At the prices they charge, that’s unacceptable.

The villa itself was good, but I felt unsafe all night. Two staff members took my phone number from the check-in form and started messaging me privately. I keep that number very private and only share it for personal needs and business, so I knew I hadn’t given it to anyone else. I came here hoping for some peace, but instead I felt uncomfortable and insecure. They apologized in the morning, but didn’t offer anything that would make up for the frightening night.
