What a mess. I was disappointed after reading the reviews too. I booked through Traveloka for 70,000 Rupiah, but at arrival the receptionist gave a ridiculous explanation that the regular price was 150,000 Rupiah. They asked me to show proof of the Traveloka transfer, then had me pay the difference there. I felt forced to pay. The staff were unfriendly, the room was dirty, and the blankets and towels were poor quality. Check-out was at 10, and it was noisy, among other problems.

The staff and crew were friendly and quick to respond. Maria Guest House is reasonably priced for somewhere to sleep for the night, with rooms that are fairly clean and a bathroom that's okay for this class.

The rooms were filthy and the water was dirty. There were no towels or blankets, and the guards were loud and awful. I will never stay here again.

I ended up canceling after they asked me for 150,000 IDR per night at the inn, even though I'd booked and paid in the app for a stay of more than one night at 50,000 IDR/night after its big discount. I can't tell whether the app made a mistake or the inn deliberately listed a very low price to boost its rating or visitor numbers. If they did it on purpose, that's fraud. I'd rather see an honest price than have someone who paid in full through the app arrive and still be asked for 150,000 IDR/night. I've blacklisted the inn by word of mouth.

The pillows were hard, and the bathroom was dirty. The water looked yellow and smelled like iron. Really bad.
