Hotel Prima Lumajang

I couldn't sleep with all the traffic noise right outside the door, and lying on the mattress made my skin itch, as if there were fleas or something similar. The room also smelled so strongly of stale smoke that I went looking for an ashtray, but couldn't find one. Disgusting. At 275k, the room felt far too basic for the price. The shower room was as bare as it gets, with a cheap, soft plastic toilet seat and lid. There was only a very thin, scratchy blanket, and the blue-green light was horribly ugly and impossible to turn off. The Wi-Fi might work in the so-called lobby, but it didn't work in the rooms at all. This isn't somewhere I'd recommend or return to. Never again.

We had breakfast with a choice of soto or rawon, plus hot tea. The garden outside Room 111 had a nice view, though the sink gave an old impression. The toilet had to be flushed with a bucket and gayung, and Wi-Fi meant going outside the room. After 8 p.m. the hotel gate was closed, but an employee was on standby at the post to open and close it.

The outside area feels cozy, and there's a place for kids to play. The service was good, though quite a few things need fixing: the bathrooms in Rooms 111 and 106 flooded, the AC was really noisy, and the lighting should be better. My Traveloka reservation also wasn't recognized.

The room was dim, the AC barely worked, the water heater was out, and the bed linen looked unwashed. Breakfast didn't arrive until 9:30. I asked at 8:30, but they told me to wait because someone had gone out to buy chicken and still needed to cook it. With the price being quite high for the condition of the room, that didn't feel fair. Sorry, but I had to say it.
