Kharisma 2 Madiun

As a place to rest, it's acceptable for the money, and the hotel is clean and well-kept. It's near both the train station and the central park, alun-alun, of Madiun Municipality. Still, amenities and facilities are lacking, including a hot water shower that doesn't work well. Breakfast is buffet style, but the choices are limited. It's mainly a resting place for travelers.

The food was my favorite part, especially the Pecel sauce, which was the best compared with other hotels I've visited. The vibe is great and the place is spacious. The hotel is old but gold, perhaps, and the rate is cheap, so don't expect too much. My superior room was spacious but felt a bit lonely, maybe because the hotel is old. The AC was only so-so and didn't get cold even set to 17°C. The bathroom was large but not clean, and many things in it weren't in good condition. You get a towel and soap, nothing more.

It's right in the heart of Madiun, a five-minute walk from the train station. I had a small first-floor room without a window, but it was okay. The AC worked well, the hot shower was okay, the shower itself was a bit broken, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The lobby was spacious but hot and humid because it had no AC. Driving in was a little difficult since the parking and lobby access were very steep.

The rate was affordable, and I got about what I paid for, though the room felt a little dirty. I chose a Business Type room with two single beds. The Wi-Fi was okay, and there was a TV and hot water. Breakfast was so-so, and they left two bottles of mineral water as a welcome drink. The location is central, close to Madiun railway station and a hospital. But construction noise made it impossible to rest while I was there. I also found a cockroach in the room. The old AC was loud and kept leaking water onto the floor.
