Amaris Hotel Pettarani Makassar

Sorry for the bad review, but that's how it was. The bathroom was rusty all over, and the hot water didn't work. Breakfast was poor too. The only thing I enjoyed was the view from my room, even if it was just the toll road and the bright moon. Mosquitoes kept me company through the night. This place needs rejuvenation.

I only stayed one night, and the room wasn't clean, the shower was broken, and the service wasn't good. I ordered food from outside and expected reception to call when it arrived. They didn't. My phone battery was completely dead, so an hour later I called the receptionist from my room. They said, "oh yes the food is here," and I said I'd come down to get it. I couldn't understand why they hadn't called, since my room number was clearly on the receipt. The hotel is noisy because it's close to the main road. The price didn't match the room. Maybe the service could be improved :)

The traffic on the main street kept things very noisy almost every night and disturbed my sleep. The location was okay, but the room itself was below standard. The ceiling was moldy and the shower was partly broken.

For a budget hotel, it's a fair option. The room was good, and the view was great if your window faced the main road. There weren't many TV channels, though still enough. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Just keep in mind this is a 2-star hotel and set your expectations accordingly.
