The towels and sheets were stained, there were marks on many walls, and the toilet seat was filthy. When I showered, water spread across the whole bathroom. I live in Indonesia and own hotels here too; I would never treat my guests this way. At check-in they charged 100.000isr for one magnetic card, supposedly as a key deposit. At checkout, reception wouldn’t refund it until they checked my room. I got upset again, but did get the money back. There is no justification for asking 100.000IDR for a 2000IDR card. They do this to make easy money from people who forget or are pressed for time to collect their money. How unethical. I paid 600.000idr for breakfast for 3 nights, but on the second morning they wouldn’t let me in because the log said I hadn’t paid. Reception told me they had used my breakfast payment for the upgrade to deluxe they gave me. Unacceptable behavior. When I arrived at 8pm, there was no room available. I waited a long time before they upgraded me to deluxe. The superior room with a view they first gave me had a narrow window looking at a cabinet with 4 Acs. I complained at reception and they moved me to a better room.

The room was about 600k per night, and upgrading to a beach/sunset view came with a steep 1.600k price increase. The location could be a good choice if you want to be near the Indonesian Middle Point. Arthama management needs to improve some things. Room 1204 had an awful bathroom with a massively leaking jet spray. There were no towels in my room when I arrived; cleaning service brought them 1hr later while I was showering. That lack of preparation doesn’t match the hotel’s 4 star rating. Lobby staff also didn’t help me with my luggage.

The sea view room was really good, and the place was always clean and comfortable. It’s near Kubah 99, pantai Losari, phinisi, and the small town of reclamation.

There are a few restaurants nearby, and the hotel’s location is good. On the first day of my shift, I noticed a lot of hair on the bed, so the sheets needed changing more regularly. Hopefully management will pass this on to staff. It’s a good place to stay, and a careless mistake like this shouldn’t cost it stars.
