Labuana Homestay & Cafe Garden by ZUZU

The lobby has a great view from both the first and second floors, and I liked the garden idea, though there were lots of mosquitoes. The room walls were clean. The rest of the stay had plenty of problems. Airy amenities weren't there when we arrived. We complained and got them on day three, but supplies lasted only two days even though our stay was meant to be six. The room wasn't serviced until the third day. Then they swept and mopped, emptied the trash, and cleaned the bathroom, but left the sheets unchanged. The AC didn't cool well, there was no sink in the bathroom, and there were no hangers in either the bathroom or closet. The closet hinges were broken, and there wasn't a chair. Staff seemed indifferent and didn't appear to understand Indonesian, even though that's what we spoke, and they didn't answer. They said Sharia law meant everyone needed to show an ID card at check-in, but apparently that wasn't necessary. I also wondered whether Airy rooms were being left uncleaned: one door stayed open for days, and the room was cleaned on the fourth day. The House Kipping section mostly sat in the lobby on their phones, while others were half-asleep outside the room (c/o). 😥

The room itself was fine, and communication with the staff was good, though they weren't very responsive. I waited for the room amenities, but they never came. When I checked at reception, they hadn't realized they hadn't prepared the toiletries, water, or snacks. The trash bin wasn't emptied either.

On the back side of the second floor, there was no Wi-Fi. I also found mosquitoes in the room and cockroaches in the bathroom. Pretty disappointing.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. There just isn't much parking for cars, though the place was still very good.
