Monoloog Hotel Makassar

For a short visit or just somewhere to sleep, I found room 415 on the fourth floor a good, affordable option. You can choose a rate with or without breakfast. They charge an extra 10k IDR for a shower kit, if I remember right, but the room came with towels, a hairdryer, and 3in1 soap. The shower had good pressure and hot water, and there’s a fan you can use with the air-con turned off. Your room key also gives access to the lift and the room. The one problem was water leaking from the air-con. Red Planet might want to have staff check it. I still enjoyed my stay there.

It’s a bit away from the city center, but being right on the main road makes it easy to get around. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. In my opinion, it’s the best budget hotel so far.

The hotel is comfortable and affordable. On my second stay, though, the towel looked dirty. I hope they replace it with a new one. Apart from that, things were good.

For what I paid per night, the cleanliness at Monoloog (formerly Red Planet) was impressive. The hot water in the shower, though, didn’t work at all.
