The location works really well if you need to be near the airport. A Gocar from the bus terminal cost 130,000 rupiah, and getting to the airport from the guesthouse was 30,000. The guy running the place is very friendly and helpful, and you can tell he works hard. The rooms are clean by Indonesian standards, though Western guests may see it differently. For 150,000 a night, what do you expect? Just open the windows for fresh air so the room doesn't smell.

I spent about a week here and had a great stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and there were small kitchen appliances for cooking. The bathroom was clean too, though there's still no hot shower. The friendly staff made the stay feel just right. It's the best place I've stayed near UPG airport in Makassar, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for lodging near the airport.
