Mekar Kasih Credit Union is nearby, and the guesthouse has 14 rooms. Drinks and snacks are sold in the ground-floor lobby beside reception. Bottled tea costs Rp5,000, Florida Rp8,000, Fresh tea Rp10,000, Pulpy orange Rp8,000, Kopiko 78 Rp8,000, Torabika milk coffee Rp5,000, small mineral water Rp5,000, and large mineral water Rp10,000. There are several room options: Standard single is Rp160,000 with a fan, TV, and single bed; Deluxe single is Rp180,000 with AC, TV, and single bed; Deluxe double is Rp210,000 with AC, TV, and double bed; Superior double is Rp230,000 with AC, TV, and twin bed; Superior Twin 1 is Rp260,000 with AC, TV, and double bed. Rates range from Rp160,000 to Rp260,000. When I arrived, they took me straight to my room and gave me towels and soap. There was a bottle of mineral water inside, plus air conditioning and a TV in the corner. As for the name, it's Wisma Faris, really Faris, not Paris. Though maybe the Eiffel Tower ornaments on both glass entrance doors and the tower picture on the sign are meant to give it a cooler Paris feel. I got there from Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar on Thursday evening, July 26, 2018. The taxi used the official airport rate, Rp 135,000, with another Rp 10,000 added. The tolls were Rp 9,000 and Rp 3,500. I handed over Rp 150,000 because I didn't have the exact amount, and the driver said he had no change, so I accepted that.

I've stayed here a few times. It's safe and quite cheap, and the staff are all friendly. Travelers or tourists could give it a try.

There isn't a closet for clothes, and the bathroom is small. Still, for a budget hotel, it's pretty good.

It's close to the city center and the service is good. There isn't Wi-Fi in the room, though, and I saw a few mosquitoes heheheee....
