Wisma Sentosa

The room used to be great, but its condition is slipping. The wardrobe is gone, the door sticks and is hard to open, and the bathroom hose leaks and doesn’t work properly. There was no drying mat on the floor, and I had to ask for blankets.

Every room smelled moldy, and the first one we got had a wardrobe that was green inside and full of fungus. They moved us to a somewhat better room, but left the moldy wardrobe there and did nothing about it. The new room still smelled, and the shower drain was packed with cigarette butts. It seemed like a rat might live there. We booked two nights but had to cancel the second, and they refused to refund any money even though the rooms felt like a health risk. A horrible experience.

The rooms are old, windowless, and poorly maintained. At check-in I asked for a room farther from the entrance to avoid noise, since there’s no outside door, but staff refused even though the place was empty. The price is low, but I’m not sure it’s worth it.

The fast Wi-Fi on every floor helped make up for a frustrating check-in. My friends and I were nearly told there was no room for us because we hadn’t notified them about arriving late. In the end they put us on the third floor, in what we’re sure was just a spare room for the boarding house.
