Alimar Hotel

Getting around was easy since Alimar Hotel Pasar Besar is close to attractions, local markets and public transportation. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and well maintained, and it was clear housekeeping took pride in the work. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it for a convenient, clean place to stay. I'll definitely return on my next trip.

A budget-friendly place in Chinatown, built around a preserved old antique house. The room was small but clean and practical, and the concept was unique. A good fit if you're watching your budget.

The rooms feel more like a budget or transit hotel, narrow and short on features. There weren't enough shelves for our clothes and bags. Four of us had two connecting rooms, and the one I got had dim, gloomy bathroom lighting and a sink tap that only worked if I pressed and held it. Annoying. Parking is also a hassle: getting into the lot can be tight when it's busy, especially on holidays, and sometimes it's full so you have to park by the road. The location is convenient and close to a big market. When I took the elevator to the left of the lobby, it got stuck. I asked the front office for help, and he said there had been an earlier incident with that elevator. That was scary. Why wasn't I told at check-in? They should have directed us to the right elevator. One security guard was smiling and very kind while helping us park, but the next day another shift guard was really unpleasant. He shouted at us several times and gave us rude directions while we parked outside. I hope the hotel fixes this.
