Gajahmada Graha Hotel

The place felt scary and very old, and it's badly maintained. The faucet was broken, the bathroom was dirty, and the whole place clearly needs a full renovation. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I was so angry writing this at 3am because the machine noise kept me awake, and the room was shaking. It sounded like an air-conditioning fan unit, starting and stopping over and over with a loud DUUUUMMM each time. Impossible to sleep. I just wanted morning to come so I could check out and wake from this nightmare. The room was filthy and dusty everywhere, and I couldn't touch anything. I saw a spider, and the wardrobe door wouldn't open. The bathroom was incredibly dirty and old, and when you turned on the water it drained painfully slowly. Even the bed sheet was too small to cover the whole bed. How am I supposed to sleep like that? This isn't a vintage hotel, it's super old and dirty, with no sign of cleaning or renovation. The receptionist seemed like part of a horror movie too, no smile or reaction, just looking sad. The whole place dragged my mood down. It belongs in a horror movie, honestly. Why put yourself through this? Book another normal hotel. They shouldn't accept guests, they should close it or tear it down. I won't even get into the internet, which felt like it was from 15 years ago. Max speed was 1mbps when I could connect. I've traveled almost every country and stayed in more than 200 hotels, and this place is easily in my top three worst.

The hotel is old, but the price and facilities are very good. I've heard comments about dirty sheets, but I can confirm they change them for fresh ones every day. The receptionists were good too, and helped and served us wholeheartedly.

The rooms looked clean and quiet, and it was cheap, but the building and rooms need renovation. The card often wouldn't let me into my room, the Wi-Fi was unusable, and the air from the AC smelled moldy and made me sick. There was a broken chair in my room as well. Staff were always keen to help, though.
