The reception team, especially mba Sasha, gave excellent service, and I appreciate that. I stayed for two weeks, though, and housekeeping repeatedly left out basics like toilet paper, tissues, soap, and towels, so we had to ask every day. The room never smelled fresh, the sheets often smelled too, and we found cockroaches twice. We went away on weekends and left our luggage there. The first time was fine. On the second trip, management charged us 50K to store it, even though we were coming back in a few days for another week. Nobody told us beforehand, and there was no written policy. That was a total wreck. They need better room-cleaning procedures and should reconsider charging long-stay guests for leaving belongings at the hotel.

There wasn't even a lock on the inside of the door, and the building has no lift, something they never mentioned. We had to carry our heavy bags up to the first floor. The room itself was filthy, with dust, moldy smells, stained sheets, a rotten-smelling pillow, a broken chair, no soap by the bathroom sink, huge spiders and webs with young spiders in them, and a flying cockroach. Noise came through the thin walls whenever someone knocked or opened the next room's door, and there was constant noise at the window all day, even when it was shut. The lobby was hot and sweaty despite two large AC units that seemed to be there for show. Service was awful. No one was at reception for half an hour when we arrived to check in. When the receptionist finally showed up, she was cold and showed no remorse for the wait. We also called twice for towels because there were none in the room, but nobody brought any. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Those other ratings are a facade, it's fake!
It was a nice, quiet spot, but the restaurant was closed while we were there.
The bed was decent, as were the TV channels, and the food was okay but nothing special. The room was dirty, though, and the bathroom floor smelled unpleasant. The shower head was dirty too. At IDR 400 K ++, it costs too much for what you get as a RedDoorz premium hotel. I'd choose a 3 or 4 star hotel at that price.
The backyard view is lovely, and I could look at it without getting bored. It's a minimalist place at an affordable price, just by the toll road exit. It's not right downtown, but heading straight to batu city means you avoid the city's traffic. One of the better affordable hotels in malang, and I'd recommend it.
