The East Java tour was a real highlight. They arranged all the details, so we could just enjoy Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Mt. Bromo and Ijen. Food was included and most of it was very good. We stayed in a lovely modern dorm near Mt. Bromo on the first night, then a good hotel the next. The tour transfers you to central Bali or back to Malang. Ijen was the toughest part, about 2.5 hours uphill, steep at the start, then 1.5 hours back down, but I enjoyed it. Mt. Bromo was easy in the morning despite the early start, with no hike until around 8am, when the walk to the crater took about 30 minutes each way. At the waterfall, bring your own water shoes or sandals if you have them. Everyone in our group who rented shoes there got blisters or cuts on their heels, and you’ll get soaked on the walk down and back up. The hostel itself was nice for a night or two to rest before the tour. Our six bed dorm had two triple bunk beds, with curtains, lights and sockets at each bed. I’d recommend doing the East Java tour with Mador hostel. It was well organized and very social.

We had such a good time exploring East Java on the 3 day easy Java tour with mador. Rama, our driver, was funny and really friendly, and the activity guides were great at finding the best spots and taking our photos. Their English was very good too. The accommodation was comfortable, and the food they served was decent. Definitely book with them!

I didn’t stay at the hostel, but I joined their 3d2n east java tour and had an amazing time. Everything was organized well from the start, and the homestay package came with really nice hotels. There are some short nights, but the trip is well worth it. The price is extremely affordable considering it includes hotels, food and even transport to Bali. Nino / Fikri was a perfect guide as our driver. We felt safe with him, and his good mood was contagious. I’d definitely recommend the tour with Mador!

The views on our 3 day trip with Mador hostel were incredible, and the early starts were worth it. Heri, our driver, was lovely and really helpful, and all the guides brought great energy. Communication was good throughout, and I’ve never been on a trip that was so well organized. One of the highlights of my Asia trip, absolutely recommend it!

Our Ijen & Bromo 2D1N Tour was a great experience. Agus was a fantastic driver, friendly and helpful, and easy to reach on WhatsApp. Everything was organized well and communication stayed clear throughout. Highly recommend!
