Morse Guesthouse

It's a budget hotel near the train station, with plenty of restaurants nearby. My room was basically clean, with a hot shower and good air conditioning. They told me about a three-day volcano trip, which I booked through them and really enjoyed. I'd definitely recommend the hotel and trip if you're on a budget.

The location is ideal, close to the railway station, and the room is nice for the price. The staff were helpful and cheerful. On weekdays, though, loud music from the restaurant carries on until 9:30 p.m. They really should do something about it.

The room was clean and the breakfast tasty. Malang station is just across the road, and there's a cafe outside the hotel. They didn't provide a towel, and not being able to reschedule was the downside. Best to plan ahead.

A few small repairs are needed: the aircon leaked, the curtain rail and bathroom sink were loose, and the bathroom door knob was loose too. It would help if someone checked the rooms and asked guests whether they'd noticed any issues. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, the linen was clean, and it was big enough, with good aircon and enough space to sit outside. The location is good. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a decent room at a fair price.
