The location is the best part, right next to Retawu Deli. It’s a beautiful guest house, and the room was okay, though we could hear noise from patrons next door. Some refurbishing would help. Still, it was a good stay, mainly because of where it is.

We stayed two nights and found the rooms clean and comfortable, with a wonderful hot shower. The whole place seemed nicely maintained, and I liked the seating area for having a small number of guests over. It’s in a great spot, close to the bustle but tucked into a quieter upscale neighborhood. I’d recommend it to anyone after a budget friendly guest house with great amenities.

Don’t let “guest house” put you off, this is an excellent hotel. It really exceeded my expectations, and it’s a great place to recover after short nights on tours to Bromo or the waterfall. 10/10.

There’s no breakfast or pool, but neither was a problem for me since I’m more into hunting down local breakfast. For a short stay, it’s a great option: an affordable, very spacious room, a decent shower and toilet, and a nice view of the central garden. Four stars from me.

For a three star hotel, it was an okay stay during my two nights in Malang for a friend’s wedding. There are a few food and drink places next door, and the Bebek Goreng nearby was good. The room was spacious but very bare, and noise came through the walls. Water pressure in the toilet was weak, and the water didn’t get very hot. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, but it’s very slow and disconnects often. The building has three floors, with the lobby on the second.
