Located on a nice campus in Malang, East Java, Indonesia, Brawijaya University is one of the top ten universities in Indonesia, possibly even top ten. Some departments, such as Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, may be among the nation's top five. The downside is all the cars and motorcycles on campus, some speeding, so be careful when visiting.

The location is great, just a few steps from the busy Suhat area. Most rooms are well maintained, though a few need more attention because of ants and bad smells.

Traffic right in front of the hotel was the worst part for me. It was jammed all the time, especially during business hours, 09.00 am - 06.00 pm. The parking area is too small, which made coming and going several times a day really uncomfortable. The building is poorly maintained. The furnishings are old, the walls are dirty, and the rooms weren't okay. Some rooms have a 19" tube TV, and the hot water didn't work. The internet was bad too. Wi-Fi signal was weak in most second-floor rooms, so I had to go outside or down to the 1st floor for a strong signal. The room was below my expectations, just so standard. Access, parking, building condition, and rooms all disappointed.

It’s a comfortable place for spending the night. Since the guest house is inside the campus, though, the public can’t really see it, and that means it doesn’t get crowded with general visitors.
