We left before staying because the damp and mouldy rooms were affecting my chest. After a long drive in heavy rain, we arrived at night and found they had no record of our Expedia reservation. They apparently don't use Expedia, but said we could stay if we paid cash. They showed us three rooms, and every one felt damp and smelt of mould. None had hot water or a flushing toilet, and honestly they didn't seem fit to stay in. We didn't feel we had many options, so we settled on the third, mostly because moving rooms again seemed pointless when they were all awful. Less than half an hour later, we were told we'd picked the priciest room. They offered 100k off because there was no hot water, making it 450k instead of 550k. By then I could feel the mould affecting my chest, so we took our chances and left. A few minutes away, we stumbled across Celebes Resort. For 500k, we got a lovely room in a brand new hotel, breakfast included. I can see why someone might think this place is good value if they fit 10 people into a room for 500k and count the ‘pool’, but our experience was truly awful.
