Hotel Celebes

We’ve stayed here three times for a few nights each, and would come back. The location is ideal, close to the port, and when we arrived on an early morning boat they let us check in early for free. They also store luggage at no charge, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. A leaking shower and a slow drain were minor issues. Breakfast is just toast with a few toppings, fine for a short stay but it gets repetitive quickly.

A handy stop before heading to Bunaken, with the harbour only about a five-minute walk away. I stayed at Celebes hotel twice and had a good experience both times. There are several room options at different prices. The cheapest, at 139.000 rupiah, have no windows and share a bathroom, which works well for budget travellers. The rooms are clean, though they smell damp. Breakfast is included and delicious, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast spread is extensive, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, with prices from 180.000 to 320.000, covering budget through luxury options. It’s the closest hotel to the harbour for boats to Bunaken.

Hotel Celebes is right by the harbor, so getting a boat to Bunaken Island was easy. I stayed two days in a clean, comfortable room with breakfast included and a great harbor and sea view. The staff were the best part for me, they knew a lot and gave me plenty of information about the boats and Bunaken.
