ibis Manado City Center Boulevard

I found the restaurant especially welcoming, thanks to Icha and Nathan, who served me several times with a smile and real pride in their work. I'm grateful to the rest of the staff as well for making the stay memorable. The hotel is across from Manado Town Square, with easy access to the airport and the dive ferry jetty. Its ibis kitchen serves meals for hungry travelers, from breakfast to late dinners. The breakfast buffet is mostly local food. I only realized on my last day that I could order eggs from the ala carte menu.

We were in the middle of getting changed when a staff member opened our room door without knocking or ringing the bell. That was completely unacceptable, and it makes us seriously reconsider staying here.

We had a lovely ocean view, and everything was within walking distance. The only issue was an on-and-off cigarette smell in the room, even though it was non-smoking. I'm not sure whether it came through the ventilation. The staff were welcoming, kind, and professional. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the breakfast team were helpful too. Rahmadan at the egg station was especially kind, as was Debora.

Looking out toward the Manado sea was the highlight, and breakfast had a good range of choices. Every staff member was very friendly. This is one of my five favorite Ibis hotels in Indonesia.
