OYO 683 Jepun Guesthouse

We slept fine, and the room was a decent size and comfortable. Still, the sheets and pillows had a lot of stains, and there was a cigarette butt left in the bathroom. We thought this was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, so the cleaning seemed questionable. Tea and coffee were provided, but there were no cups. We were in a rush that morning and didn't ask reception for any. The design looked modern compared with the surrounding area, while the location in Mataram was nothing special. It's a cheap place that did the job, though not a memorable stay. Since then we've found much better accommodation for a similar price. For a quick stopover, this place will do.

We had a spacious room with a large, clean bathroom, and the place felt clean and cozy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There's a small common area that's still useful. The price is very reasonable, and booking through the OYO app can make it cheaper. Recommended.

I paid Rp. 89.000 through Agoda, and it felt worth the price. The guesthouse is in central Mataram, quite far from the airport, so I needed the Damri bus to get there. Finding comfort food nearby was a struggle. You may want to rent a motorbike, though the staff can help connect you with someone who rents one. The facilities were fairly good, with a TV and shower, and mirrors around the room. Cleanliness was okay.

The rooms were okay for the price, but what good is that when you can barely sleep? Staff were loud throughout the day until 1 a.m., then started shouting again at 5:30 a.m. Even if you're not a light sleeper, getting more than two or three hours of sleep is hard. They hang around by reception and play music from 5 a.m. They also don't speak English. We asked to leave early and get a refund, but they refused. Staff smoke inside by reception, and even while changing towels and things in the room, they have cigarettes in their mouths.
