The lobby allowed smoking, which was the worst part for me. The location is prime, and the price is affordable. It’s a good option for families, with a discount for stays of three nights or a week.

For the price and strategic location, I’d recommend the hotel, but it’s more suited to a low or medium budget trip. It’s a three-star hotel in my view, not worthy of a five-star rating. The bedsheets and towels aren’t white anymore. I wouldn’t spend a honeymoon here.

I wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel. It was very dirty, the toiletries promised on the website weren’t provided, and the staff were really unfriendly. On the day I stayed, I thought there were no other guests. I didn’t try breakfast: staff said it would be ready at 7 a.m., but office hours start at 8 a.m., so what’s the point? Trust me, NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Being able to check in at 8 a.m. instead of the usual 2 p.m. was appreciated. We paid an extra 7 USB room rate, and it meant my family and I could rest and bathe after a 14-hour bus trip from Riau to Medan. Medan Plaza Fair is within walking distance, handy for shopping and dining. The toilet wall wasn’t clean.

My room was dirty and dusty, and the door was hard to open. I had to return to reception twice to ask for another key. The air conditioning and TV weren’t in good condition either, so I decided to check out and find another hotel.
