The sauna and spa were excellent, the pool was great, and the food was amazing. I stayed for seven nights, and honestly this was the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Most of the staff were amazing, though they didn’t manage to fix the fridge in my room. I’d have liked a few more Western choices at the breakfast buffet, but I understand most guests are Indonesian. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in Medan.

Thanks especially to Mr Desmon, who was professional and quick to help when I had serious diarrhea during my visit to Medan. He arranged for me to get to Rumah Sakit Columbia smoothly and promptly. All the staff were friendly. This is the best five-star hotel I’ve stayed at.

The staff were so warm and helpful, and the room felt cozy. Breakfast was delicious too. Everything about the stay was easy and enjoyable. I’d love to come back!

I booked a deluxe room, and the only thing I liked was that it was fairly spacious. The room phone didn’t work, so I had to use my own phone credit. The mini fridge wasn’t connected and didn’t work either. I waited about 15 minutes or more for an iron, and when it came, it was in bad shape, with lots of burnt holes from ironing. Two stars. I’d choose a well-regarded four-star hotel over this five-star wannabe.

The view over the city was nice, and the hotel is right in the centre. There’s a pool, room service, entertainment for children and friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing, and the price was reasonable. My teenage daughters were very happy.
