For a 2-star hotel, I didn't expect the room to be this clean. The bathroom is small, around 3 x 9 feet, but it was super clean, a full 5/5 for cleanliness. That's the first thing I always check because I'm very sensitive about it. I pushed the twin single beds together, and there was nothing underneath them. The floor was extremely clean too, which really impressed me. This was my third hotel of the trip, just a transit stop before flying the next day. When I entered, the lobby smelled pleasant, though near the lift I noticed a slight "cockroach smell." I looked around and didn't see anything. The lift was a bit dirty, but that's acceptable for a 2-star hotel and not worth complaining about. The Level 3 walkway was ordinary, clean enough, nothing impressive but nothing bad. I called late at night for an iron, and the staff brought it despite the hour. They were excellent and very polite. For cleanliness, I'd rank this hotel number one compared with Rogate Samosir Villa, Kalang Ulu Hotel Brastagi, and Kama Hotel. Kalang Ulu Hotel was the worst experience, even the bidet was moldy and unpleasant to touch. Congratulations to housekeeping management, you did a great job. Please be cautious at checkout. In our experience, we felt pressured to pay a laundry fee for bedsheets because of alleged stains. We'd tidied the room and checked it carefully before leaving, but we were rushing to catch a flight and didn't have time to argue. We were incredibly disappointed and felt indirectly forced to pay. If this happens to you and you end up paying, use a QR code or bank transfer. Avoid cash so you have a clear digital receipt and a record of the transaction for reference or an official complaint.

We stayed one night after arriving from Danau Toba. On weekends the area is lively, and the oldest cafe/resto, Tip Top, is right across the road. The train station for KualaNamu Airport is only a 5-10 minute walk away. The room was spacious, though the corridor is very narrow. The toilet had no rack for toiletries, but the shower had hot and cold water and good pressure. Breakfast is included, though it was just okay. There are Kopitiam and other eateries nearby if you'd rather find breakfast out. Keep in mind the road in front of the hotel is closed every Sunday for Car free Day from 6am-10am, and the surrounding roads get a bit congested. We had a 10.30am flight and highly recommend taking the train rather than booking Grab. We had to walk a bit to find our driver because we weren't familiar with the Kesawan area.

We enjoyed our short stay. It's right next to legendary TipTop for dining, close to the train terminus from the airport, and a short Grab ride or walk from the central mosque and palace.

We stayed as a couple for two nights in August 2025. The room was a little small, but clean and comfortable, and the place was quiet. It's centrally located, and breakfast was good.
